Where does the authority of the bible come from?  The church itself, or from somewhere else? What are the books of the canon?  
The inerrancy of the bible has always been attacked throughout history.  Several prominent church leaders gather together in 1978 to formulate a statement on the inerrancy of the bible.   This teaching will go through their statement and findings.

The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy was formulated by more than 200 evangelical leaders at a conference convened by the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy and held in Chicago in October 1978. The statement was designed to defend the position of biblical inerrancy against a trend toward liberal conceptions of Scripture.
