Unlike 99% of the chocolates in the market, MIA is made from start to finish in Africa, creating five times more impact than the export of raw cocoa. In addition to creating skilled jobs and keeping more value on the earth’s poorest continent, MIA is committed to producing delicious, award-winning products that compete on quality.
MIA aspires to work with thousands of artisans in communities throughout the African continent to offer consumers a wide range of delicious foods that build on fair trade to set a new standard: ‘fair made.'
Brett Beach is a dual national of the US and UK. Brett acquired a passion for Africa during a six-year stint in Madagascar where he worked as a Peace Corps volunteer and impact project manager. He gained valuable industry experience as co-founder of a US food brand that reached US $3.6M in annual sales.
As MIA Director, Brett works with the network of distribution partners in Africa, oversees operations and leads sales initiatives.
