Episode Synopsis
The first class of University 101: The Invention and Consequences of Race meets, and the professors deal with the complexities of COVID: Students spread out all over a lecture hall for social distancing; masked and distant students making discussion difficult; and technological issues that were to plague the course throughout the term. Just the same, students embraced the topic, engaged with the professors, and were surprisingly moved by even the first meeting’s information. There’s a lot to learn about race, and learning started in earnest from day 1.
