He confesses to us, even though the water gets super cold and waves are heavy, that it gets really good, and that helps motivate him to get out there and surf. Gearoid tells us that even though he is charging slabs, he has to push himself and there are days that he still gets scared. He tells us about how lucky he is because the zone where he lives, are mostly hefty lefts, which is his strong suit. Gearoid says that the Irish surf community is the best around, everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and says how stoked he is on the up and coming Irish groms. He talks about the final he made at a specialty event  in the Canary Islands and how cool it was surfing perfect lefts with hardly anyone out.
