Episode Synopsis

Tuesday, June 10: Welcome to Ep3 of the Questions Bar — Inkandescent Women’s new podcast and video show that invites you in to listen in on a chat with two girlfriends talking about topics of the day that touch their mind bodies spirit souls and hearts: AlinaZ in Los Angeles and Hope Katz Gibbs in Washington DC.
The mission of the show: To share tools and experiences to manage stress and find hope in our lives each and every day.
In Ep1: Alina and Hope had their first chat about their lives and the anguish they feel post-election in 2025. What will we do to cope with the changes by an administration that does not have our best interests at heart? How will we manage when everything we hold dear — from kindness and compassion to clean air and a healthy food chain — are being torn apart? Listen here. In Ep2: Joy is the topic of the week!
Today: We talk about ways to maintain your sense of humor in a world that seems to have gone mad!

AlinaZ shares ways to respond to rudeness with humor to diffuse tension and maintain your composure. “I’m taking a class on how to respond to rudeness so that you keep your cool and you don’t get affected,” she says. “A sense of humor is really important because we have to laugh at things that are out of our control — but are impacting us on a variety of levels.”
Hope talks about her creative solutions to conflict, including offering seated chair massages outside the spa she worked in DC when clients were reluctant to book a full-body massage due to job layoffs and fear of the economic impact of policies at the federal government leve.
The hosts discuss the potential impact of the coming economic changes on various industries and the importance of creativity in adapting.
