In time for HALLOWEEN, everywhere!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original release of "Horror Movie" by Australian band "Skyhooks" (1974, Mushroom Records), this reimagined version of the classic #1 charted hit memorialises the late Graeme "Shirley" Strachan and acknowledges the original band members Greg Macainsh, Red Symons, Bob Starkie, and Imants Strauks.
While the original version is about how the world has taken a turn for the worse with all of the chaos in society, to the point where watching the nightly TV news is like watching a horror movie, the song over the years has been picked up in the US and everywhere as a "halloween" song. Continuing with that tradition, here is a "hardcore hip hop" reinterpretation.
