Episode Synopsis
Hello everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Performance Psychcast. Today we are very fortunate to be speaking with Matt Rogers. Matt Rogers is recognized throughout the U.S. as a coach, author, consultant, and speaker with more than 25 years of experience in athletics and education. As a college basketball coach, his men’s teams won multiple Conference Championships and advanced to multiple NCAA National Tournaments, earning him Conference Coach of the Year honours along the way. Matt built his reputation on developing athletes with confidence, discipline, and unbreakable self-worth, both on and off the court. He also spent eight years as a university athletics administrator and later served as Senior Head Scout for the largest college recruiting organisation in the U.S., where he guided over 4,000 families across 30 sports through the recruiting process. Today, Matt is the founder of Significant Coaching, LLC, and the author of Significant Recruiting: The Playbook for Prospective College Athletes, a 5-star reviewed guide helping families navigate the college recruiting process. He also created the Recruit’s Journal Series and the Significant Recruiting Launchpad classes—practical resources that keep athletes focused, organised, and intentional throughout their journey. A national motivational speaker and host of the Significant Coaching & Recruiting Podcast, Matt challenges athletes, coaches, and leaders to replace the pursuit of success with the pursuit of significance to remove mere chance from their recruitment endeavors.
