This is the first installment of a multi-part series where Sean and Jess discuss the history of pop culture with particular emphasis on music. In this episode, they go back to Africa, Scotland and Ireland to discover the roots of what would eventually become Rock and Roll and how, through transformation in America, those divergent musical styles team up to form popular music of the 1950's.Sean and Jess also perform cover versions of "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Cris Cornell and "Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla.
