Listen "Episode 58: Jacqueline Brown, MD"
Episode Synopsis
Our Stories Podcast is thrilled to present a conversation with Jacqueline Brown, MD who shares her journey from a young girl with a toy stethoscope to an attending oncologist in an academic medical center. Early role models of health care professionals include her grandfather (pathology and acupuncture) and her mother (nurse), and after recognizing her interest in science as well as joy she found in listening to peoples' stories she decided on a career in medicine. There were challenges along the way (chemistry), but with persistence she was able to meet those challenges and find her way into the space that suits her well now ("on a path that works for me"). Connecting with team members regularly, as well as time with family (including Halloween fun) and regular exercise, allows for Dr. Brown to sustain her positive energy.
