One thing I know for sure is that I'm not the same person I was before I lost my son Jack. Something else I've learned is that over time it has gotten easier for me since he's been gone from the physical world. Jack would have been 9 this year and the early years after losing him literally brought me to my knees. In honoring my grief and mourning, I've become a more resilient, loving and stronger version of who I used to be. While I'll never forget my precocious Jack, his death is easier for me to hold as I navigate my life, while he grows up in Heaven.
