Rick earned his Chartered Professional Accountant (legacy Chartered Accountant) designation in 1988, and after a few short years in public practice, decided a new career path in supporting people's financial goals on an individual level suited him better. Almost 30 years later, Rick continues working closely with his clients to identify appropriate financial and insurance products suitable for their lifestyle, whether that be planning for a new home purchase or retirement.

Away from the office, Rick enjoys providing commentary on current affairs weekly on the AM1320 radio station. He also volunteers with the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC, Corpus Christi Parish, and various community groups. In his free time, you can find Rick swimming, cheering on the Vancouver Whitecaps or attending a concert with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
