Listen "#39. Low back pain: how to turn your training session into a back-friendly workout"
Episode Synopsis
Most of us have likely experienced mild low back pain at some stage in our lives - whether it be a general tightness as you bend over to put your shoes on, stiffness that occurs after sitting for a period of time, a mild case of sciatica, or a bit of pull down one leg. One of the main questions I get from clients who are experiencing these types of symptoms is, "Can I still train with my back pain?" And in many cases, the answer is yes. In this episode I'm going to run through several modifications you can make to your training to turn your session into a lower back-friendly workout. Disclaimer: this advice is not specific to any individual, and is broad-scope advice only for mild situations as outlined above. As I haven't assessed you and don't know you, if you have any concerns regarding your symptoms my suggestion would be to consult with an Allied Health Professional for a full assessment in the first instance.
