Today we bringing special guest Paul con Quesoooooo!
'Paul LaTorre, aka 'Paul con Queso', is a poet, professor, publisher, performer, curator and facilitator from Newark, NJ. His poetry blends pop culture with advocacy, as he uses verse as a means for activism in the fields of mental health, survivorship, social justice and decolonization. His first book of poems, 'Disappearing Boy', was published in March of 2020 and he is lead editor of both 'Underground' and 'I Can't Breathe' Magazine at Bloomfield College, where he teaches Creative Writing. He is a proud part of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, where he also facilitates workshops and hosts 'Voices & Vibes: an independent music showcase & karaoke experience' & he co-hosts & co-curates the open mic series 'Poetry in the Bricks' monthly in downtown Newark.
