Episode Synopsis

Radio host Joel Heitkamp of KFGO and the "News and Views" radio network is attending the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. He joins podcast host Mike McFeely for an update after a raucous night when Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz hit a home run with his acceptance speech as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate. Joel has been in the United Center for three nights, so he has the pulse on what's happening.  He, like many Americans, was moved when Walz's son Gus showed so much emotion during the governor's speech.
