In this episode, Dr. Manalo begins the first of three episodes on how to engage with your local government. After he was elected to the Artesia City Council in 2007, he heard from one of his constituents about a problem that she was having in her neighborhood. Dr. Manalo shares his lessons learned from trying to address and solve this problem. He has turned this experience into an assignment for his undergraduate social work students.
