Michael shares his extensive knowledge and experience with us.Michael DeClouet was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was raised in a Christian home in Carencro, Louisiana. He is the second oldest child. Michael grew up practicing the Catholic faith. As a young man, Michael would pray daily. He accepted the moral teachings of Catholicism and attended mass regularly on Sundays with his family. Michael surrendered his life to the Lord in high school. He is a devout Christian.It was during Michael’s high school Sociology class he realized he wanted to work with people with mental illness. He pursued his college education, obtained an associate degree in behavioral science, and a bachelor’s degree in general studies.Michael’s first job in the health care industry was in the medical records department. Shortly thereafter, he began to have patient contact. Michael developed a passion for working with people. He later secured a position in a psychiatric hospital working with children, adolescents, and adults. He later felt it was a better fit for him to work with adults with chemical dependency and mental illness, since he did not have any children.Michael’s first job in the health care industry was in the medical records department. He assists them with all the available resources and attempts to get these individuals adequate treatment and services.Aside from Michael’s professional endeavors, Michael is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He engages in community outreach to bring knowledge and resources to the underprivileged. He also participates in church functions that bring about change in his local community.Thank you, Michael.
