Tiffany Miller-O’Brien, a fourth-generation Montanan, grew up on a ranch outside Billings, Montana. After high school she left to study fashion design in Seattle where she spent ten years as a freelance costume and apparel designer as well as a stylist and special events coordinator for companies such as the Bon Marche, Macy’s, and Nordstrom. In 2009, she traded the concrete jungle of the city to return to her roots and spent the next ten years designing under her own label specializing in one of a kind wearable items for wedding parties, dance and performance artists, and musicians, as well as a series off the rack wearable items utilizing recycled and repurposed materials. She’s also produced various collections of handmade, craft printed graphic items for numerous local Billings businesses. Tiffany is also the owner of Frae, a business providing a personalized
shopping experience while attaining sustainable supplies and quality services for daily living. Our conversation focused on her life growing up in rural Montana, her big city journey, her business, how she’s become a successful entrepreneur, and life lessons that she’s learned along the way.
