Listen "You’re Not An Accident: The Image of God Explained"
Episode Synopsis
What does it mean that you were made “in the image of God”? In this teaching, Jenna traces the Imago Dei from Genesis 1:26–27 through the New Testament to show that every person carries innate dignity, a royal-priestly calling, and a redeemable design. You’ll see why the image isn’t about appearance but representation—we’re created to reflect God’s character into the world and reflect the world’s praise back to God (see Psalm 8). Jenna names how sin distorts (not deletes) that image, then centers us on Jesus—the true Image (Colossians 1:15)—whose life, death, and resurrection restore us to the likeness of God (Ephesians 4:24; Colossians 3:10).From there, she gets practical: how the Imago Dei reshapes our speech (James 3:9), our work, our view of the vulnerable, and the way we carry ourselves as servant leaders in a confused age. Expect a sober, hope-filled call to live as a faithful remnant—people who treat every neighbor as a walking reminder of God’s worth, and who let Christ remake us into the people we were meant to be.
