Send us a textA popular claim gaining traction within social media is argued that Jesus lifts queer-identifying people as model disciples. Another claim by gender reassignment surgeons is that when Jesus mentions eunuchs, he refers to trans-identifying individuals; therefore, gender identity is in the Bible. If this is all true then it seems odd that, for 2,000 years of church history, the church has taught that God created male and female only. This week we will analyze Jesus' words in the Gospel according to Matthew to see if Jesus actually teaches and/or affirms gender ideology. There is a lot to talk about because twisting Scripture to fit personal agendas is a dangerous and terrible action that is becoming more and more prominent. Our readings for this week are Matthew 19:1-15 ESV.We look forward to seeing you again next Friday!
