The culture that surrounds ourselves is determined greatly by the rapport we build. Building rapport takes time, effort, but most importantly, empathy. In order to truly gain someone’s respect, we have to be personable and relatable.
Today I invited Kass Newton, a 3rd-year biochemistry major and ethnic studies minor. Through an internship with the Transitions Mental Health Association, Kass was inspired to create a podcast to provides a platform for people who have experienced marginal housing.
