In this episode Steve and Steven discuss:Learning effectively from other people Finding time to respond to every feedback What it takes to be a good listenerCultivating continuous growth in your career Key Takeaways: Leading effectively takes listening to other people and learning from them Commitment is one of the cornerstones of being a leader. If you believe in answering every question, request or issue, then make time for it. Commit because people rely on you. Be a good listener who’s present, follow-up on what you’ve listened to and learn to be a discerning communicator. Do the job you do today the very best you can. Master what you’re doing today and be curious about what’s around you. Ask questions. “Make sure you thoroughly listen and understand what the other person is talking about or what they’re asking before you start giving an answer. Often times we give answers way too soon” - Steven Plaisance Connect with Steven Plaisance:Twitter: https://twitter.com/gatewayloanFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/GatewayMortgage/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/steven-plaisance-3b15405/Website: www.gatewayloan.com Connect with Steve and Jason:LinkedIn: Jason or SteveWebsite: Rewire, Inc.: Transformed Thinking Email: [email protected] Show notes by Podcastologist: Justine TallaAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions.
