As a devoted student and practitioner of the arts of listening, awareness, and stillness, Jack would say those are hard-learned and hard-earned skills. He was a butcher for thirty years, but his real vocation during that time was being present with his customers and serving them through listening. After retiring, he began working for various nonprofits and has been a speaker and trainer for leadership teams and individuals.
