Rebuilding church in the midst of a fast-cultural-slide toward post-Christian America is no easy feat. Add into that mix a pandemic, social unrest... and then toss in changing behaviors among Christians regarding church attendance and it's clear there's no going back to normal. Julia talks with Pastor Amanda Pershing about rebuilding church, and why we want you to join a team!Amanda started out as an intern at Vineyard Columbus in 2002 and then worked for 3 years as Pastor Rich Nathan’s Research Assistant. She then held several pastoral roles at VC working for our 20 Something Ministry, Women’s Ministry and our Small Group Ministry. In 2008, she and her family moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands for three years to plant a church with a team from Vineyard Columbus. In 2011, they returned to Columbus and she became the Community Life Pastor. Amanda currently oversees the Weekend and Connect Team which includes our in-person and online services. Amanda has three children ages 7, 10, 13. She loves to spend time outdoors riding her bike, a good cup of coffee/shameless plug to Crimson Cup, reading, and walking her boxer named Nat.
