Homeschooling families are a village. You can ask us anything, we can make a lesson out of anything, and we are fiercely supportive of one another. While our approaches and methods for educating our children may differ, we share a common belief that ALL children deserve access to a quality education.As a professional helper, I believe the same principles apply to families seeking support services for home-educating their children. Standing with one foot in the homeschooling community and one foot in the helping community, I saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it.Thus, The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN) was born.The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN) was created to fill a gap. By creating resource lists of homeschool family-friendly providers, we aim to help ease the burden of seeking support services.Our sincerest wish is to offer comfort, encouragement, and support by connecting homeschooling families with providers who are equipped to help meet their counseling, education, and therapy needs.Through providing FREE content and access to free and reduced-cost resources to help support families in their homeschooling journey, we endeavor to accomplish our mission of inspiring, informing, and improving lives.As with our resource lists, you can expect professionals from all areas of education, mental health, professional coaching, and therapy.Just like our blog posts and vlog posts, you will find a range of topics in academic advising, coaching, home education, counseling/mental health, testing, therapy, and tutoring.
