Listen "What Is The Main Robotic Component That Helps It To Swim"

Episode Synopsis

Aquatic robots are capable of swimming, diving, and crawling. When human activity causes ecological disasters that have an impact on aquatic life, such as oil spills and man-made constructions like dams, robotic fish can be deployed. Depending on your robot design, driving mechanisms for aquatic robots may include tails, fins, thrusters, wings, paddles, paddle wheels, air pumps, etc. Swimming robots are just as cool as flying robots; the only difference is that swimming robots can move underwater and are used to explore and learn more about our marine environment. These robots can resemble insects, fish, or large snakes, among other things. A wire that brought power and instructions down to the robot fish allowed it to capture pictures and videos, use stereoscopic video cameras as well as control mechanisms, collect artefacts, and learn about the water's conditions. Scientists will be better equipped to research ecosystems on other worlds if they learn how to study harsh situations here on Earth.
