Listen "Episode 8 - Tax Allowances 2019-20"
Episode Synopsis
The new tax year started on 6th April 2019 and the chancellor has been kind to most taxpayers with increases to most personal allowances.
The UK tax system varies in complexity depending on your income level, if you’re earning under £100,000 per year then your tax affairs are likely to be fairly straight forward, if you’re earning between £100,000 and £210,000 annually then your tax affairs will be very complex as many allowances are reduced or withdrawn completely and once your annual earnings are over £210,000 most allowances are gone so things are simpler but you need to look at other ways to invest for the future.
