We are about to enter into the home stretch of our journey through the Book of Genesis. While the first ten chapters of Genesis covers nearly 2000 years of human history, the final 14 chapters cover only 100 years. It is worth investigating why we are provided so much detail of the life of Joseph.

Joseph was one whose life, despite numerous experiences of the lowest of lows, finished strong. There are so many important truths for us to unpack through these Scriptures, and they are as relevant for us today as they were 4,000 years ago when this story was lived out. Throughout His Words, the LORD gives us some foreshadowing of the life of Jesus who would arrive 2,000 years later as God in the flesh, leading up to the return of Shalom.
