GSFC-UK - or ”The Gloria Swanson Fan Club Radio Show” ran for ten years on WFM Manchester in the United Kingdom. It was a show best described by one of the underperforming management as,
”A bit like Timmy Mallet for grown ups”
Michael Dawson was at the heart of the ’Cake Eating Scandal’ that rocked local radio in the late nineties. After turning whistle blower his position at the station became untenable. He was finally forced out, but not before he’d smuggled out many of his master recordings. Hindered by legal battles for years he fled to France and went underground, not seen until the early 2020’s and eventually bought back his own show for an undisclosed sum. Now, unrestricted by FM licensing, broadcast areas and borders Michael is back with the podcast GSFCUK.
Chats with some of the worlds most interesting people are the stuff of legend, long believed to be lost forever in WFM 97.2’s damp catacombs amongst a badly maintained archive of now unreadable CD’s.That is until now,
