Listen "Trailer: Language of Lent"
Episode Synopsis
During the Liturgical season of Lent we are excited to bring you a special series titled “The Language of Lent” that will be released each Wednesday of the season, in addition to our regular Sunday sermon podcasts. “The Language of Lent” series will begin on Ash Wednesday, which is February 14th 2024.
Each week, Pastor Molly and Pastor Rebekah will consider a word that is particularly relevant during the season of Lent. Words like repentance, kingdom, atonement, temptation, sacrifice. These words are complex and have layers of meaning both from their biblical context and from how they’ve been used more modernly. Some of these words have been twisted and used as spiritual weapons, and yet they are still regularly used in Christian communities, and especially during Lent
These episodes will be short conversations between Pastor Rebekah and I with lots of room to put yourself into the conversation and consider what the “Language of Lent” means in your own life and community of faith.
Theme music: For the Troubles and the Sufferings, performed by Allen Sasser-Goehner
