This is the 4th Sunday of Easter and Good Shepherd Sunday, which is April 21st 2024 and the Good Word comes from John 10:11-18. The Gospel reading along with Psalm 23 and a selection from Ezekiel 34 paint Jesus as a shepherd who offer his sheep a peaceful life and protection from wolves. But in the wolf-eat-sheep world of today can we really trust in this Sunday-school image of Jesus?
