Last weekend (February 22 and 23), I completed the Gasparilla Distance Classic Michelob Ultra Challenge in Tampa, Florida. It entailed racing a 15K (9.3 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) on Saturday; a half marathon (13.1 miles) and an 8K (4.97 miles) on Sunday. I not only completed the challenge, but won it overall out of 386 finishers! I discuss each race and my overall experience of race weekend in Tampa. Later I talk about many of the world records that have occurred in Track & Field and on the roads over the past month.
