He was hated, maligned, and marginalized. His enemies kicked dirt over his grave. His own people turned on him.  He dared to discipline in a permissive society. He dared to defy the zeitgeist, and to take the battle to the devil’s back yard. He fought back against abortion and sexual perversion when everybody knew it would be a losing battle. He spent his wad advocating a highly marginalized homeschool movement, opposing godless public schools, and fighting abortion. He pushed for Christian legal defense organizations in an anti-Christian age. Dr. James Dobson was the man for the day — a quarterback fighting for every inch he could get, when pushed back to his own 5 yard line. He fought for a country through Roe v. Wade, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell. He fought to save a civilization. . . a losing battle. He lost the pro-life plank. He lost the pornography battle. He lost the war on sexual perversion.
