During the “midst of the storm” seems an unlikely time to check your spiritual garden for weeds but Jesus taught that the worries or cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches and the lust for “other things” are weeds that choke God’s Word from growing and producing fruit in our lives. (Mark 4: 7, 18-19).  Jesus also taught what our priorities should be in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Choosing to make your relationship with God your first priority by spending time in His Word daily helps you focus your heart and mind on Him—knowing that He will take care of you!
