Listen "Pleasing God 2"

Episode Synopsis

The first lesson in this Pleasing God series focused on faith that believes in and receives God’s love for us! In this second lesson, we’ll focus on faith that demonstrates God’s love for others.

Jesus showed God’s love for people when He recognized circumstances that were contrary to God’s will and intervened in faith. He taught us to speak to mountains of adversity and command them to be cast into the sea. When Jesus cursed the fig tree, He demonstrated that sometimes there are “unfruitful” areas of our lives that need to be “cursed” and removed from our paths. Like Jesus, we can do these acts of faith on behalf of others!

The person who pleases God:
Prays in faith that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Is willing to be interrupted by the needs of others—even strangers!
Truly prays in faith rather than sending a praying hands emoji!

When someone like Bartimaeus interrupts our road trip and asks us to pray, what is our response? “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10 NKJV
