How should we respond to opposition? God calls us to “act up!”  In Isaiah 55:9, God says, “My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.  God’s ways are not unreachable; they’re just higher!  They’re up!
Jesus said in Matthew 5:43-45a, “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy but I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!  In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven.”
The world would say, “Hating your enemies is the proper way to act.” But Jesus tells us to “act up” by loving our enemies and standing in faith for them to be saved! It doesn’t matter what the world does, children of God love others.  Children of God do good works.  Children of God choose right over wrong.
