Sreeja Akula, is a professional Indian Table Tennis athlete from Hyderabad. She is a three-time Indian national champion (2019, 2021, 2022) and currently ranks as India's second-highest-ranked player in the Women's Singles category. Sreeja's career is guided by coach Somnath Ghosh at his academy in Hyderabad. She achieved notable victories at the 83rd Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships in April 2022, winning both Women's Singles and Doubles titles. Sreeja also won gold medals in Women's Doubles and Women's Team events at the 2019 South Asian Games, and a gold medal in the Mixed Doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games with Sharath Kamal. In January 2024, she won her first individual international title at the WTT Feeder Corpus Christi and another title at the WTT Feeder, Beirut in March 2024, reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 40. Sreeja is part of the first Women’s Table Tennis team to represent India at the Paris Olympics, 2024.
