About Nitu Ghanghas: Our guest for today’s episode is Nitu Ghanghas, who won the Gold Medal🥇(Boxing) in 48kg weight category at the recently concluded Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. She opened the account for Team India🇮🇳 - Boxing contingent by winning the medal on August 07th 2022. With immense passion and hard work, she is on her way to create sporting history in boxing in the 48kg weight category. In 2017, she won the Gold Medal at Association International de Boxe Amateur (AIBA) Youth Women’s World Boxing Championship. In 2018, she won the Gold Medal at Asian Youth Boxing Championship. After this tournament, she went on a short-term hiatus due to her shoulder injury. Four years later, she came back stronger than ever and won the Gold Medal at 73rd Strandja Memorial Tournament 2022. In her debut at the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2022 organized in Istanbul, she managed to reach the Quarter finals which is an incredible achievement too. Nitu started boxing in 2012 and since then has been working hard every day to be the best in the World. She idealizes MC Mary Kom (OLY) and aims to become the World Champion and an Olympic Medallist in the coming years.
