Listen "Newcastle dismantle Villa, new-look Chelsea and Liverpool draw, Spurs begin life after Kane with a new number 10, and Forest put up a fight against Arsenal"
Episode Synopsis
The Premier League is BACK! And the lads couldn't be happier! Mike, Myles and Dave discuss the highlights of the opening weekend, including Newcastle's statement 5-1 defeat of Aston Villa. Sandro Tonali scored on his debut, Aleksander Isak scored a wonderful brace, and we look at how Eddie Howe's team put Villa to the sword so impressively.
Chelsea and Liverpool drew 1-1 in a real end-to-end battle, with Mauricio Pochettino showing a glimpse of how he intends to set up - at least until Moises Caicedo arrives. Enzo Fernandez had his best game in blue so far, but how did they look overall? And what do we make of Liverpool's Caicedo-less midfield?
We also check on the progress of Luton and Burnley on their returns to the top flight, and how Tottenham loom after the departure of Harry Kane. The number 10 shirt passes to James Maddison, who put in a worthy performance as they drew 2-2 at Brentford.
Alos, Nottingham Forest and Arsenal both looked to learn and improve on last season, the game between the two ending 2-1 to the Gunners, with Eddie Nketiah proving they can score without Gabriel Jesus.
