Meateater Fishing Editor, Sam Lungren, was reared in the watery wonderland of Puget Sound. A childhood spent pursuing salmon, steelhead, and ling cod blossomed into a lifestyle centered around the outdoors and a career in outdoor media. Now a Montana resident, Sam still has salt in his veins and shares some of his recent adventures pursuing bonefish, tarpon, and those pesky permit in Belize. As an outdoor journalist, Sam has intimate knowledge of many issues concerning sportsmen, including the latest proposal to remove the dams on Idaho's Snake River before runs of native anadromous fish disappear.
