Humans have been seeking gold since we first laid eyes on it.  We've fought wars over it, we've tried to turn lead into it, and the United States once based our currency on it.  Regardless of why this very shiny, very heavy substance remains so coveted, the fact is that it's valuable and always will be.  Hence, gold mining.  It's a rough job, and you often lose money on the deal.  But when you strike a particularly rich vein, you're reminded why you're doing it.  Todd knows all about it.  That's why his show, Hoffman Family Gold, is premiering on the 25th on Discovery.
