Ayanda Ernie - Tokoshibo, stemming from KwaZulu Natal (Durban), currently based in the City of Roses, Free State province (Bloemfontein). My musical style is primarily focused on ChillOut, Neo-Soul and Jazz with an emphasis on instruments and orchestral pieces (Experimental Jazz), along with Spoken Words, Storytelling, Lyrical Depth, Poem and Speeches. In my free time, I enjoy listening to calming music like Lo-Fi Beats, Ambient, Natural Sounds, Dub Techno, Garage and Deep House (Underground).
In honor of Assata Shakur — a woman whose life, words, and unwavering spirit have inspired generations to seek truth, dignity, and justice. Assata Olugbala Shakur was an American political activist, revolutionary, and fugitive who was a member of the Black Panther Party, and later the Black Liberation Army.
Your poetry, your reflections, and your insistence on the value of Black life have shaped the language of resistance and reminded many that freedom is both a right and a responsibility. July 1947 - September 2025.
