John 12:12-36a



Jesus’ kingdom is vastly different than the kingdom that the religious leaders wanted even as they prayed for God’s kingdom what they wanted was a kingdom that fulfilled their own wishes, one fulfilled their will, not God’s will. As God’s people, we too can pray for God’s kingdom but inadvertently press for own will rather than God’s will. So we do well to remember that the kingdom coming is one that reflects his nature rather than our own. We then are called to bring our will under the submission of his will, and not the other way around.
