In this episode we talk to Jonny Imerman. I heard Jonny speak at a non-profit event more than 10 years ago and was instantly captivated by his story, but also by his energy and passion. When Jonny was 26 he experienced a life changing event when was diagnosed with testicular cancer. During that fight, he received an outpouring of love from friends and family. But what he didn’t have was someone who had been there before who could answer questions and just empathize. Years later, Jonny took that experience and co-founded Imerman Angels: a peer-to-peer support community that connects cancer fighters, survivors, previvors and caregivers with their own personal cancer confidante. Since its founding in 2006, Imerman Angels has made over 34,000 matches in more than 110 countries.And…Jonny’s story doesn’t stop there. After building Imerman Angels into a world-renowned non-profit that has helped thousands of people, he started his own business named CLOZTALK. CLOZTALK is an apparel company making a positive impact by raising awareness of meaningful nonprofits.Jonny has built a career that has allowed him to not only find success, but significant meaning in his work.
