In this episode we talk to Maurice Uenuma who has actually had two careers. His first career began after graduating from the US Naval Academy when he was an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Later on in his Marine Corps career, Maurice was selected and trained as a Force Recon/Special Operations Officer. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically the elite of the elite warriors serving our country. After 9 years in the Marines, Maurice moved into the civilian world and pursued a new passion in IT and Cybersecurity. It’s in this world that he found his second calling, helping to protect organizations and individuals from unauthorized access. He has worked in large, multi-national corporations, non-profits, and mid-size software companies.So check out Maurice’s story and hear about how he has loved out two dream vocations in his lifetime.
