God achieves everything but it is done when we wait for him in silence and recollection. The development of grace usually comes from silence. Think about the decisions we make that are important – we take time to consider them in silence. We do not rush to decision making and when we do it often does not turn out well. The Sacraments, for example, make visible what is invisible. Silent yet with great power. Any external transformation produces great noise like the waves crashing against the rocks in Portugal. But the silent power of God transforming our hearts wells up in silence. I have felt this way many times during adoration. The word of the day is "Transformation."
