Listen "Silence in a Year Day 40 The Unshakeable Church"
Episode Synopsis
Have you ever played the game Jenga? This game is a tower of stacked blocks where each player takes turns removing blocks from the middle of the tower without allowing the tower to topple over. It calls for thought, patience and understanding the foundation. Players are not allowed to remove blocks from the top of the tower only from the middle. So, each player works to pull blocks without the tower, hoping that it does not fall over because if it does, they lose the game. So, imagine that tower being your heart and the blocks and the glue that keeps that tower together is your relationship with God. Each distraction such as anger, pride, resentment pulls a block from your heart leaving holes in it, allowing your heart to crash to the ground. Only when you mend your foundation through the grace and relationship with God can you put the pieces of your heart back. Each piece can be labeled by humility, prayer, service, kindness. Putting the pieces of your relationship with God together requires total surrender to God and aligning your will with His. Understanding the foundation that our faith was built on…on love of God and Neighbor. Take away; What does your foundation look like? What is it lacking?
