Today's Promise: 2 Peter 1:4 The Bible contains over 3,000 promises. Every promise is God's commitment to you. Every command of God has a connecting promise because He always empowers you to accomplish His will. In this verse, Peter lists two purposes. First, God's promises are given for us to participate in His divine nature. Second, God's promises are given to escape the corruption of the world. Most Christians have no idea of the wonderful promises God has laid out in the scriptures. As you claim the promises of God, your faith will grow.
