Lebron James has been controlling every piece of his basketball career since he came into the league right out of high school. With moves such as the decision when he chose to sign with the Miami Heat in 2010 or how he controlled the rosters of his previous teams. According to an article by ESPN LeBron approached this Lakers season differently. He has been supportive publicly of the Laker General Manager Rob Pelinka and head coach Frank Vogel with all of the decisions that they are making. He has adapted to the point guard role in the Lakers line up, a position that he never liked playing because of the toll it takes on him every game. The most important change has been the relationships that he has cultivated with the Lakers organiztion at all levels, from players, to coaches and administration. He has previously been known to keep his sircle small but not anymore. (https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/beatsow28825669/lebron-james-approached-los-angeles-lakers-season-differently)

Kobe Bryant made it to the NBA straight out of High school at 17 years old in 1996. In that rookie year, he participated in the slam dunk contest and took the trophy home. Something that was often forgotten due to his ability to score from anywhere on the floor, he came into the league known as a high flying dunker. Trying to drive to the basket every time he touched the ball. However, he quickly learned that that was a young mans game and if he wanted to have a long career he needed to work on his shot-making ability. and the rest is history.
