Her love for history books and American Girl dolls introduced her to people from different cultures and backgrounds at a young age. This was extremely helpful especially growing up without much racial and cultural diversity. Pai and his family immigrated to the U.S and lived in North Carolina. In High School, his family then moved to Tennessee. Growing up as a Third-Culture Kid came with its challenges and opportunities.
