It’s natural to think a good story starts with a rich and vast premise or idea, but as it turns out, that might not be the case. Today we dive into the truth of the matter on how a good story can come from the most seemingly insignificant places.
We kick things off with some famous literary examples of this approach, and how we implement them into our own Popular Science videos! We also talk about the faith and willpower it takes to research a new topic. Not sure where that research is taking you? Turns out that most times, it’s better not to know.
For the second leg of this week’s episode, we take another stab at Apple for the release of their “Top 100 Albums of All Time” list. We discuss criteria, or lack thereof, and try to understand why the list was written the way it was. We wrap up the episode by discussing which heavy hitters are missing from this list, and entire genres that were just glossed over.
Thank you to everyone who joined us live this week, and a special shout out to all of our supportive patrons. We’ll be back again next week!
